Christmas Giveaway!

Merry Christmas!

Our Christmas season officially kicked off this last Saturday.  Our church does a ladies Christmas Luncheon every year where we have a wonderful time of fellowship, food, music and of course a timely message.  I usually lead the worship/caroling and this year, for the first time, my oldest daughter joined me singing harmonies.  She did her mama proud!

This year's theme was Prince of Peace:

For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kindgom,
To order it and establish it with judgement and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The Lord of hosts will perform this.
Isaiah 9:6-7

Oh, how I LOVE this promise!  Fulfilling scriptural prophecy, the Son arrived some 2,000 years ago, walked this earth without sin, was crucified for my sins and yours, laid in the tomb for three days, was resurrected to life and ascended into heaven with the promise to return for His beloved Bride.
"The Lord of hosts will perform this."
I trust He will!  I anxiously peacefully await that day when He returns and we are gathered together with Him in the air! (Rapture practice anyone? Throw your hands in the air and jump as high as you can!)

"And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come again and receive you to Myself;
that where I am, there you may be also."
John 14:3

The last post I shared my most treasured Christmas memories from childhood - my beloved Santa.  Now that I'm all grown up and walking with Jesus through this life, we're making new memories.  One of my favorite memories from recent years is two Christmases ago when we shared with our kids that we would be adopting.  You can see the video here on this post.

1.)  Comment on this post telling me your most treasured Christmas memory.
2.)  Purchase one of the original ornaments from yesterday's post and leave a comment telling me which color/pattern you'd like and email me with your mailing address talesoftherogi at gmail dot com.
3.)  Sponsor a piece of our adoption puzzle at AdoptTogether.org/Talesoftherogi and leave a comment back here on this blog post for your entry to be counted.

  1. I want three ornaments!! These are sooo cute! :) I'm getting one for us and one for each of our parents. I think these would be cute tied to the top of a gift!

I want a pink one (whichever shade you think is best), a green one and a maroon one. I'll email my address. :) Thanks! And good luck!

  2. We ordered three ornaments! 2 giraffe print and 1 pink/black cheetah print. One giraffe ornament will go on our inlaws tree as they have been so supportive and praying for our adoption and she picked that print. The other two will go on our tree to remind us of the 2 children we have been praying for for over 2 yrs! I let my son and daughter pick the prints they liked for our tree! (I also loved the zebra print but we are only adopting 2 children at this point!)

Thanks again! These are so cute!

  5. Your ornaments are super cute! I would love to win the Ethiopia one! :) My most treasured Christmas memory was my first Christmas as a mom when my daughter was just 3 months old. It helped me see how Mary must have felt in such a new light and also see the birth of our Savior in a more amazing way.

  6. My favorite memory was being awakened every year by my brother who is 15 months younger than me at 4am on Christmas morning. We'd race downstairs, open our stockings and lay on the couch to watch It's a Wonderful Life, until the rest of the family woke up a few hours later. best memory EVER.

  7. Yep, I LOVE these ornaments!! Just ordered 2 of them. Let me know if I should just do a paypal donation to your blog for the total ($12) or send you a check. I prefer paypal... it's much easier.

  8. 1st of all- I love your ornaments! They are Super Cute!

As for my favorite Christmas memory... If I have to choose just one, I'd have to say getting together with my whole family on Christmas Eve for our big families party, followed by our churches candlelight service with Christmas carols & plum pudding afterwards. =) Thinking about it makes me miss those days!

    Blessings,

  9. Attempted to order 7 ornaments - please see facebook message.

My favorite Christmas memory is a treasure hunt put together by my dad for our big gift. We would get clues in our stocking and the gift would be hidden around the house!

  11. Love the ornament.
Fav Christmas memory. . . ? Just one? I guess I'd have to say that I simply LOVE when the whole family gets together. We share stories of the year, and memories of the past years, eat great food and play fun games.

  14. Christmas means more to me each year. This year when we decorated the tree, we came across the ornament we purchased last year at your BD's fundraiser. We talked about what the ornament represented and wondered what our new family member would be like. We prayed for him and his now family and that God would bring him quickly to his new family. We can't wait to meet him!

  15. Ooooh! Pick me! :) Hey, do I count since I bought two puzzle pieces a couple months ago? Love you friend! Okay, so favorite Christmas memory.... I'd have to say Christmas 2010. We had just moved into our new house the week before, I was heavily pregnant, and it started snowing on Christmas Eve (big deal for Nashville!). We had a picture-perfect day as a family, and I cherish those memories now.
