March Madness - Help bring us closer!

It is time to announce our newest fundraiser.  I am a HUGE college basketball fan and have run a bracket pool for the last 15 years.  This year we decided to use the pool as a fundraiser to help bring our baby home.

We would love it if you would like to join us.  We are asking for a $10 entry fee and you can use the Paypal button in the right column to pay.  There are great prizes for 1st-3rd place (1st prize valued at $100!) that have been donated by friends (Thank you!)

Officially Waiting

Well, it's official... we are in the waiting stage of adoption.
We were able to send our dossier to America World
mid-week last week and our dossier was sent off to Ethiopia today -

DTE 03/02/2012!

We would like to thank everyone who made this possible. You know who you are...

those who donated their sales from
their garage sale last summer

those who donated all their saved-up change

those who purchased BD's Mongolian BBQ tickets

those who bought raffle tickets

and  Christmas ornaments

those who gave us a month of free rent and said,
"put it in your adoption fund."

(we've raised $199 so far!)

those who have bought Wild Olive Tees

those who bought Pampered Chef (we raised $230!)

those who gave cash to our kids at church saying,

"this is for your baby--give it to your mom."

who took up an offering for our adoption

at their Christmas party

that goes directly to our PayPal adoption fund.

Depending on the adoption country, the cost of adoption is anywhere from $25,000 - $40,000.  With the submission of our dossier, we have reached the

1/2-way point in our adoption finances.  The financial burden of this call to adoption has definitely become lighter.  We have been overwhelmed by your love and support and are so grateful, glorifying God for each one of you who have joined us on this adoption journey.
